Took the AWS Cloud Practioner Exam

Woke up this morning about 4:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Have been thinking about sitting the AWS Cloud Practioner Exam. So I signed up for the 7:00am exam and took it. Got a pass notice at the end.

Had a couple of differences from the Azure exams and most of the other ones I have taken recently.

  • Didn't actually get my score right way, no idea how I did yet.
  • You have to wait up to 5 days to get your results.
  • Signed up for the exam like normal, but had to go through Amazon's cert metrics to take it. Was a bit of a pain in the butt
  • Microsoft gives you partial credit if you get part of a multiple-selection answer correct. AWS you either get it right or it is wrong.
  • Hopefully, will get my certificate and stuff in the next couple of days.
  • Questions were pretty easy, but then again this is the practioner's exam.

As for the test itself. It asks a lot about the well-architected framework. Know your 6 pillars.

AWS has so many services that is kind of limited into how much depth it can go into it for a 65-question test. I do think if you pass you've got someone who has a decent overview of some of the options AWS offers with cloud services.
